Once you check in to the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley you’re going to want to move right in. Awarded as the “World’s Best Ski Hotel” by World Ski Awards, this Forbes Five-Star hotel will make you feel like you’ve arrived at a charming chalet in the European countryside. Nestled right among the mountains, guests can make the most of their trip with easy ski-in/ski-out access to Deer Valley, and partake in aprés overlooking the slopes.

The rooms here are stunning, many with added bonuses such as views of the mountain, fuzzy blankets, electric fireplaces, and outdoor terraces complete with a steaming hot tub. It makes breakfast in bed pretty darn sweet.

The property not only boasts cozy accommodations, but a plethora of amenities and entertainment as well. Its Champions Club entertainment center is a perfect place to play for the whole family, while the spa offers relaxing treatments to indulge in after (or in lieu of ) tearing up the slopes. On-property restaurants include Troll Hallen for a light lunch or a little aprés, First Tracks Kaffe for a light breakfast, and the award-winning Glitretind, which is not to be missed.

Experts and novices alike will be able to get their fix on the snow-covered mountains of this Utah playground. Expert instructors are available to enhance your prowess at both Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain, even if you’ve taken a 20-year hiatus from skiing! Those who don’t quite have their sea legs for skiing might just discover a newfound hobby on the powdery soft snow here; I know I sure did.

Park City has no shortage of delicious food—we’d come here just for the eats alone. There’s not many spots here where you can go wrong, but there’s definitely some standouts among the culinary scene. After exploring the trails on Park City Mountain, head right on over to The Farm, where you can indulge in sustainably-raised cuisine from their fromage and charcuterie, to their heavier menu items like burgers and steak.

Cozy chic eatery Twisted Fern also serves up delicious dishes, paying special attention to locally sourced ingredients. Don’t skimp on the appetizers if you’re with a group—sharing is caring! Another must-try aprés ski is Deer Valley’s Royal Street Café, where you can warm up with boozy peppermint hot cocoa and its famous turkey chili.

Located right off of Main Street, Talisker Club’s bistro, Courchevel, offers outstanding French-European cuisine that is the perfect cap to your stay.
