All One: Outerwear

By Marcella Milio

From the time of Joseph and his “coat of many colors,” outerwear has been an integral part of who we are in clothes. A thousand years later, during the Renaissance, the sentiment remained: Outer garments were the first and primary means of telling the world about a person’s station and class.

It’s no different today. Although beloved black became the norm for much of the ‘90s and 2000s, colorful, exuberant coats are now making a comeback. Here are some options in everything from colorblocking and leopard, to leather accents and fur. Don’t get left behind: show us who you are this season in statement-making outerwear!
