An Exclusive Inside Look at the Dirty Pop at Sea Cruise Hosted By Lance Bass

It was only last month that I was presented the opportunity to join Lance Bass on his Dirty Pop at Sea cruise on the Allure of the Seas for a week of fun, music and relaxation.

Being born in the 90’s makes me a natural NYSNC fan; since they were at their height of stardom as I was growing up, so when I was presented the opportunity to join him on this cruise, there was no way I was going to let this moment pass me by. I had the pleasure of meeting Lance twice prior to the trip, since he was the cover of BELLA’s January/ February Hollywood issue and also hosted our cover party at TROY in the meatpacking district.  From both of those experiences Lance radiated so much fun, so I expected this cruise to have the same atmosphere, which it did and I was not disappointed!

My week was spent on the Allure of TheSea, the largest cruise ship by Royal Caribbean. There were so many activities on and off the boat that you could never get bored no matter what time of day.  Thanks to Cruise Planners All Out Vacations who planned this amazing excursion for us, Dirty Pop at Sea was a nonstop adventure. They strategically planned the group’s week while still giving us more than enough time to try anything else that may have caught our eye on the boat as well. I spent time relaxing by the beach and pool, rock climbing, fun group dinners, and fabulous VIP extravaganzas. Below are my favorite highlights from the trip that made my experience exceptional!

“Here We Go”

I was able to live every 90s lover’s dream by dancing with Lance Bass to NYSNC classics that includes Tearin’ Up My Heart, Pop, Bye, Bye, Bye and many more during the Dirty Pop 90’s Dance Club where we relived favorite hits from the 90’s spun by recording artist and DJ, Ryan Cabrera.

Millions were in awe when Hope Leigh performed Lance and Michael’s wedding song at their 2014 wedding on E! We also were able to experience something similar live as she dazzled us with her unique and powerful voice.

Composer for television series The Fosters, Brad Hooks gave an unforgettable performance while he introduced his brand new EP, Ish that was released in February. Nash Overstreet and Ryan Cabrera enchanted the group with their beloved radio hits as well. Most of the artists teamed up to perform together on multiple songs; it was fun to see the collaboration right in front of our eyes!

Switching up the talent with some comedic relief was New York’s own Marcus Monroe who was a breath of fresh (and funny) air during the week at sea. He shocked the crowd by his dangerously funny juggling in between each joke. Visit to find out where Marcus will be performing next in NYC.

“Space Cowboy”- Kind Of

The All Out Vacations Cruise planner’s team had fun adventures available for any age. We had the opportunity to take a cooking class with the Sous-Chef of Giovani’s table to a morning Bauberobics work out classes with Bob Merrick. My personal favorite was the Rhino Rider hosted by Ryan Cabrera in St. Maarten. Together we tackled the waves on a two person “Rhino” watercraft. After taking in all the beautiful views from the sea, we stopped by Happy Bay for some snorkeling before heading back to the ship.

“Bringin’ Da Noise”

The one and only Joe Fatone hosted an unforgettable karaoke night, where were given the opportunity to sing our hearts out (with no judgment) and occasionally got some back up assistance from the singers onboard. Highlights from the night were Joey Fatone and Lance Bass‘ version of Backstreet Boys, I Want It That Way, the Spice Girls mega hit, Wanna be performed by Lance and husband Michael Turchin along with comedian Marcus Monroe and actor Noah Baron’s take on BBmak, Until Your Back Here.
