Beauty Boosting Breakfast Smoothie

It’s been said that “beauty starts within,” and my beauty- boosting breakfast smoothie is a great way to start yourday! This one is filled with fruits and veggies that are rich in antioxidants known to brighten the skin and reducethe appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. It also calls for Greek yogurt, which helps firm the skin, and almond milk for a hydrated glow. I also add some dark chocolate chips—they’re not only yummy, but also a natural skin plumper.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 CUPS ALMOND MILK (YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE WITH WATER OR POMEGRANATE JUICE)
  • 1 CUP BABY SPINACH
  • 1 CUP FRESH (OR FROZEN) STRAWBERRIES
  • 3/4 CUP BLUEBERRIES
  • 1 CUP PLAIN GREEK YOGURT
  • 1 SMALL APPLE (PITTED AND SLICED)
  • 1 WHOLE BANANA
  • 2 TBS 70% CACAO DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
  • 1 CUP ICE

Instructions

PLACE INGREDIENTS IN THE LISTED ORDER INTO A BLENDER (MOST BLENDERS HAVE A SMOOTHIE MODE), OTHERWISE START ON MEDIUM FOR 3 MINUTES, THEN SWITCH TO HIGH FOR 2 MINUTES.

THIS DELICIOUS, DELIGHTFUL DRINK IS PERFECT FOR A QUICK BREAKFAST AT HOME OR ON THE GO.
