The fourth of July has passed, and I can’t believe my internship at BELLA is more than half way over. Time is moving by way too quickly. It needs to slow down. This week, I worked on all sorts of jobs in preparation for the Hamptons White Party. I also worked on more videos for BELLA’s New York street talk. But honestly, this week, I had a major mess up. You know that feeling when you made a mistake, and there’s nothing you can do about it? Your heart drops, and you feel so stressed about wanting to make things right again? Well, that was me. I felt like I let everyone on the BELLA team down. This was far from my case, however, and my co-workers reactions made me so grateful to be working here. The assured me everything was going to be alright, and explained to me that mistakes is what makes us all human. Everyone told stories of times they had been in similar situations, showing me they knew exactly how I felt. I am so grateful that everyone was so supportive and understanding. They taught me how when mistakes like this happen, there’s nothing you can do about it. The best thing you can do is to learn from the situation, and make yourself better for the future. This week made me so appreciative to have this team, and I know now that when one of us messes up, none of them will bring them down. Rather, we all will grow from the experience.
