#BELLATV Covers Dr. Oz’s HealthCorps Gala

HealthCorps co-founders, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Lisa Oz, co-hosted their 12th Annual Gala at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York.

This year’s Gala was “1920s Garden Follies” inspired. Funds were raised for HealthCorps 501 (c)(3) to continue its mission of strengthening communities by highlighting innovative approaches to health and wellness to build resilience in America’s youth.

HealthCorps honored Z100’s Morning Show Host, Elvis Duran; Kind Bars CEO & Founder, Daniel Lubetzky; Sahaja Meditation; Partners For Education at Berea College; and University Heights High School for their contributions toward the health and well-being of America’s youth.

Like all parties, galas typically generate a healthy dose of excitement. This year HealthCorps left no detail unnoticed! Students, celebrities, and guests were taken back to the 1920s era by the exciting ambiance. Hundreds of guests were entertained by fashionable flappers serving healthy hors d’oeuvres. Ladies and gentlemen donned their best 1920s garb and were surrounded by beautiful decorations at every turn. Excellent cuisine, endless drinks, and desserts were served all night. A silent auction and text pledging helped to meet the evening’s fundraising goal. Other highlights included a swing performance by Stepp Stewart along with Dr. OZ and a live band that kept the dance floor packed.

The Gala was show worthy from the moment you walked in to the moment the attendees left with their “healthy living” swag bag. The Health Corps Committee hosted another fundraising bash worthy of a standing ovation.

HealthCorps is a 501 (c)(3) that gives teens tools to improve physical and mental health so they can learn to live more productive and happier lives. Founded in 2003 by Dr. Mehmet Oz, HealthCorps’ mission is to strengthen communities with the most innovative approaches to health and wellness to help the next generation be more resilient, both mentally and physically.
