Celebrate National Gin & Tonic Day with Sipsmith’s Latest Launch

For gin enthusiasts, there’s no better excuse to whip up with perfect G+T than National Gin and Tonic Day, which is coming up on April 9th. While food and drink holidays may seem strange to some, why not celebrate the things you love?! With the recent US launch of the new limited edition of Sipsmith’s Lemon Drizzle Gin

The UK-based gin brand Sipsmith launched in 2009, bringing back London’s first traditional copper distillery since 1820. Their aim was to bring back the delicious taste and spirit of classic London Dry Gin, maintaining quality in their hand-crafted small batches.

A few weeks ago, we attended the new Lemon Drizzle launch at Perfumarie, along with Chris Moore of London’s famous bar Coupette and Sipsmith brand ambassador Keli Rivers. Here, we learned about the subtle nuances of the new gin, reminiscent, but not as sweet, as a classic lemon drizzle cake. It’s inspired by the citrus gins from the early 1900s, adding sweet, sun-dried lemon peel, lemon verbena and vapor-infused fresh lemons to their classic London Dry Gin.

Great in a number of different cocktail combinations, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good G&T. Snag your hands on a bottle of this new gin and whip one up!
