We all instantly fell in love with the country…the people, the culture. Such pride, warmth and beauty.
And as the name suggests, the property rolls out the red carpet for their guests. LITERALLY. Upon arrival in the lobby, you are greeted with staff who hand you a cool refreshing towel and usher you to the red carpet for a few paparazzi-style pics, you’re handed a tropical cocktails…and the all-out, over-the-top pampering begins from there.
I spent a week at over this past July and it was – hands down- once of my favorite family vacations EVER. And even though it was right in the middle of rainy season for Costa Rica, not one drop of rain fell on us. (Thank you, thank you for the blue skies benevolent rainforest GODS!) The weather, the sights, the service, the entertainment, the accommodations… all beyond perfect! Daily poolside entertainment and nightly shows really kept us all on our feet. We had our own posh private cabana –with infinity pool and our very own butler, which the property apt calls “your personal agent”. If there’s another phrase for ‘above and beyond”, put me down for that. I seriously felt like Beyoncé!
Our Agent, Henry was so kind and genuine and he basically took care of all of our needs lightning fast. Not an easy task since I was there with my two teenagers and two senior citizens. (Henry has the patient of a saint!) But traveling with our group, with a variety of tastes, needs, etc…it’s safe to say we all had the time of our lives. And the spa, well you can read all about that in our current issue but it was simply spectacular. I spent a day of pampering in paradise with my mom and it was something we will never forget.

It’s all-inclusive so the sky’s the limit! We wined and dined at the resort’s seven restaurants – six à la carte restaurants and an international buffet. So Cal Gourmet Food Emporium, East Sushi & Teppanyaki Bar, Sunset Strip Steakhouse & Grill (my husband’s fave) Blue Star Tex-Mex Cantina, Gusto Italian Trattoria (my personal fave) Overtime Bar & Grill (my father’s fave) Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint (my son’s fave). There is something for everyone!

Producer’s Suite STAR Class members can enjoy the full celebrity experience in the Producer’s Suite- the swankiest hotel room available in a two bedroom arrangement. Without any paparazzi by your window, you can enjoy cinematic views from every angle, with a balcony spanning the entire length of your suite.
