Nicole Miller showcases the importance of sustainable fashion
Just in time for National Earth Day, renowned American Fashion Designer, Nicole Miller is showcasing the importance of sustainability within the fashion industry. Through efforts in her designs shown at New York and Shanghai Fashion Week, and a new pair of eco-friendly denim jeans the awareness expands on and off the runway.
Miller created an exclusive pair of denim with Eco-Made technology, in which the fabric is derived from recycled water bottles and plant-based materials. This pair of High-Rise Skinny denim is available for $99, available on NicoleMiller.com and pairs perfectly with her signature ANTI PLASTIC custom t-shirt, available in black and white, for $75.
Nicole Miller will be donating 10% of the sales of these items to Rocky Mountain Institute, a global think and do tank committed to scaling innovative clean energy solutions. RMI’s mission is to transform global energy use to create a clean, prosperous and secure low-carbon future.
Miller’s interest in sustainability and the re-use of existing garments also fueled the inspiration for her Fall 2019 collection as seen at NYFW and SFW. Through the use of upcycled fabrics and vintage pieces they were reimagined to create a collection that supports a woman’s busy lifestyle. Plus, focused on bringing awareness and supporting issues that are important to modern-day consumers such as environmental awareness, astrology and having fun.
