Different Distances: Fashion Photography Goes Art

WHAT: Different Distances: Fashion Photography Goes Art shows the work of five internationally renowned Swedish fashion photographers, presented by the Consulate General of Sweden and theSwedish Institute at Aperture to coincide with New York Fashion Week. Curated by Greger Ulf Nilson, the exhibition strives to create a balance between art and fashion photography by taking into account cultural history as well as the photographers’ personal experience.

WHODenise GrünsteinJulia HettaMartina Hoogland IvanowJulia Peirone, and Elisabeth Toll belong to a new generation of Swedish fashion photographers whose work is found in both international and fashion publications and art institutions worldwide.
