Discover the Hidden Magic in Manhattan

With the rise of social media, there are few hidden gems left to be discovered in New York. Every nook and cranny has been explored, Tweeted and documented on Instagram. But magic still exists in the city that never sleeps. Tucked away in the stunning Lotte New York Palace Hotel, the Millionaires’ Magician, Steve Cohen, performs his awe-inspiring show, Chamber Magic.

Inspired by the Golden Age of Magic in the early 20th century, the show transports guests to another time, requiring evening cocktail attire for attendees and taking place in an elegant salon within the hotel. The intimate show caps its audience between 50-60 attendees, giving every person a great view and a personal feel.

The show, which runs for 90 minutes, incorporates tricks you’ve come to associate with magic like sleight of hand, mind-reading and card tricks, but that’s where the similarities between classic magic shows and this one end. Steve Cohen holds an audience’s attention with ease, showcasing his unbelievable skills while entertaining a discerning audience.

Having performed for people like Warren Buffet, Woody Allen, and Martha Stewart, it’s no wonder he’s been touted as the Millionaires’ Magician. While every feat of magic had us wracking our brains for explanations and answers, the beauty of the show is that the accomplishments remain a mystery. Our favorite and his signature trick, Think-A-Drink, had us confused and in awe for weeks following the performance, and hankering to go back for more.

Additionally, his graphic novel, The Millionaires’ Magician, makes for a great gift along with tickets to the show, and includes a foreward by David Copperfield.

Luckily (or magically), there’s still undiscovered gems left in New York that will take your breath away. Chamber Magic is certainly one of them. Don’t miss out.
