The Travel Channel recognized the resort for having one of the top eight most incredible waterparks in the entire country, which is a paradise for adventurous visitors who desire to soak up a little piece of wet and wild fun. At any time of year, guests can enjoy the Indoor WaterPark, which is always heated to 84 degrees, complete with a triple-jet FlowRider Endless Wave, thrilling water slides, a water fortress, inflatable adventures, pools, lazy river floats and hot tubs. Three stories of eateries and gift shops overlook the Indoor/Outdoor WaterPark complex giving visitors a bird’s eye view of the action below.

The resort offers two beautiful 18-hole golf courses that feature uphill and downhill contours, giving golfers a chance to see gorgeous scenery at every turn. The Mountain Greens Golf Course is known for its steep terraced tees and fairways. The course’s tumbling topography provides a true test for those who want to master fairway speed and tight angles. The Woodstone Meadows Golf Course is situated at the base of the mountain. Its open and picturesque fairways are ideal for novice golfers, yet offer skill challenges for experts. New this year, guests can surf the fairways and enjoy the panoramic views of Massanutten Mountain and the surrounding valley with Massanutten Resort’s new GolfBoards. This environmentally-friendly, fully electric vehicle allows guests to “Surf the Earth” while golfing, adding a whole new energy to the game.

The Family Adventure Park offers a variety of activities located in the same area making family fun convenient for all ages. The brand-new Ride Rappel and Climbing Excursion is the ultimate adrenaline-pumping activity with the thrill of 38 and 58-foot rappels, assisted by an expert guide. The Canopy Tour is a journey through the treetops across the Burma Bridge, hanging vines and four different zip lines that range in length from 90 to 470 feet. Mega-Zip carries guests on a 800-foot plunge and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 30 miles per hour. The Kids Adventure Course packs a challenge with its Burma Bridge, log crossing, swinging vine bridge, net traverse and a 100-foot zip line.

After a day packed with activities, the resort’s spa provides the perfect environment for physical and mental renewal. Brand new treatments include the Multi-S.A.L.T. Booth, an enclosed dry salt therapy booth which naturally cleanses lungs and sinuses by releasing micro-particles of salt into the air. Guests all of ages are welcomed at the spa including tweens and tots who can enjoy a polish change along with a mini-hand and foot massage.

The resort’s wide array of accommodations offers year-round breathtaking views, giving travelers the ultimate Blue Ridge vacation. Lodging is available both on the mountain and in the valley. An exclusive resort experience, Regal Vistas features expansive vitas of the Blue Ridge Mountains while overlooking the resort area of Woodstone Meadows. This private, gated community is home to an outdoor pool, picnic area and workout facility.

Although Virginia is not widely known as snow country, at 2,922 feet of elevation Massanutten Resort boasts 70 skiable acres of winter fun suitable for all levels, from the beginner to the advanced skier or snowboarder. During the winter months, guests can choose to ski, snowboard, ice skate or snow tube. Skiing and snowboarding lessons, team sports and racing, and a beginner’s guide are all offered.

Guests can choose from various dining options for every taste, every season and every occasion. Recently opened, Campfire Grill is a mountainside indoor-outdoor dining venue with a menu inspired by the great outdoors. The restaurant’s outdoor seating area features cozy seats and fire pits and provides sweeping views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Menu highlights include camp stove chili, chicken and dumplings and homemade s’mores skillets. Virginia BBQ & Pizza Co. offers mouthwatering dining options, from coal-fired pizza to wood-smoked entrees. This restaurant truly satisfies any type of southern barbecue craving.

With so many activities from which to choose, Massanutten Resort is not a “one and done” vacation destination. Guests return here year after year in order to experience everything that this magnificent resort and its bountiful valley have to offer.
