Food is serious business at the Lodge and culinary enthusiasts will marvel at the attention to detail afforded each meal. Overseen by Executive Chef Josh Tomson, whose skill in the kitchen is evident with every savory bite, food is a major component of a visit to the Lodge and is a main reason that people choose to return time and time again. Food at the Lodge is meticulously prepared by culinary experts who adhere to a garden-to-table philosophy. The chef’s team hand selects naturally-raised meats and fish and organic, locally grown vegetables. With three functioning gardens on the property, guests are assured that the fresh flavors that only nature can create are the highlight. A grilled Dorade Royale with a delicate buttery flavor, accompanied by toasted wheat tabouleh, pickled corn relish and Cilantro lime butter, is perfectly paired with Hangtime Pinot Noir.

Girlfriends who desire a special retreat to reconnect and rejuvenate can take advantage of the Girlfriend Getaway which includes Veranda Deluxe accommodations and an extensive list of spa treatments, fitness classes, outdoor adventure excursions, and evening programs. Juicing is a favorite activity during a Girlfriend Getaway. Presented by a high energy, affable juicing expert, this hour-long class highlights the many advantages of making your own juice. Delectable recipes include an apple and celery juice, orange carrot ginger juice and pineapple orange parsley juice. There’s even a recipe for a Hangover Juice, which includes a hint of a jalapeno pepper.
