GLOBAL’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show Raised $1.9 million and
attracted over 2,500 attendees from 40 states and 14 countries

On Saturday, November 14, Global Down Syndrome Foundation (Global) raised a record breaking $1.9 million at their Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show, the star-studded virtual event, now in its 13th year, included was attended by A-List celebrities like Sara Bareilles, Caterina Scorsone, Jeff Probst, Quincy Jones, Ronnie & Shamari DeVoe, Denver Broncos Brandon McManus, Amanda Booth, Zack Gottsagen,  John C. McGinley, Beverly Johnson and more.

The Fashion Show also paid tribute to the late DeOndra Dixon the beloved sister of Jamie Foxx who tragically passed away last year. GLOBAL continues to honor her memory through the DeOndra Dixon Down Syndrome Research Fund, which raises funds to address medical care and healthcare disparity outcomes for African Americans with Down syndrome.

27 brilliant models who happen to have Down syndrome rocked the “virtual runway,” which included special performances from Grammy Winner, Sara Bareilles with her iconic hits “Brave” and “I Choose You.” She also shared the personal story of her uncle Brian, with whom she was very closed to and who happened to have Down syndrome.

As the largest fundraiser for Down syndrome in the world, the BBBY fashion show has now raised a cumulative $24 million. Proceeds from the event help underwrite life-changing and life-saving research and medical care at Global’s affiliates — the Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome and Rocky Mountain Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
