Have you just been dying to explore the magical world of Fillory? Fans of Syfy’s hit TV series The Magicians will be ecstatic to know that it’s now possible to travel to your favorite world. The TV series, based on books by Lev Grossman, is paying homage to the crazy and unpredictable world of magic with their interactive pop-up experience, the Hall of Magic. Open to the public now through January 29th, New Yorkers can head to Brooklyn’s William Vale Retail Center to enter the immersive experience and try their hands at magic.

Whether or not you’re familiar with the series, this is a not-to-be-missed experience. The glorious hall is comprised of multiple rooms, each filled with more magic than the last. Learn what type of magician you are (I’m a natural magician) while brewing potions in the apothecary, try your hand at levitation and strike a pose midair, challenge others with battle magic, lay in the grass and lose yourselves in the night sky constellations, and even head to the classroom to learn some tricks of the trade. The journey inside can be explored at leisure, with plenty of outstanding photo ops and amazements to behold. You can even rent a pair of Snapchat’s Spectacles to further enhance your viewing experience…and to show off to your friends!
If you’re as excited as we are for Season 2 of The Magicians (what’s going to happen to Quentin and the beast??) to return on January 25th, then this is the perfect way to celebrate!
Weekday Hours: 2pm-10pm
Weekend Hours: 12pm-10pm
The Hall of Magic is free, but you can reserve tickets at HallOfMagicNYC.com, or head right down and hope to get in!
