With an undergrad education from Syracuse University and UCLA, and a medical degree from Loma Linda University, Robin sets herself apart from other wellness creators by offering more than just fitness videos or uncredentialed wellness advice that seems to saturate the market. However, her path was not always clear-cut. Even with an inherent interest in health, Robin struggled to find her place. Especially in a culture where she says there is mistrust among African American patients and medical providers. She focused on education and emulating leaders in different fields, actively making a difference. Today, Robin’s mission in the wellness world is to address the racial prejudice that is a reality for many African American patients and providers in medicine by continuing to advocate for education and working to change the narrative by setting a new standard.
She combines her medical training in pharmaceuticals and NASM certification to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through fitness for a more holistic approach to wellness. Her goal is to help busy professionals transform their minds, body, and soul through effective workouts, optimized nutrition, and supplement plans provided through her platform. Robin also created a fitness app where she provides health and wellness coaching solutions.
Aside from her credentials, Robin is also the host of her podcast “The Dose Show” a self-health and breaking medical news platform that incorporates all aspects of wellness, a little bit of Hollywood, and everyday life. Robin has also become a notable speaker, participating in panels at Essence Festival, What She Said with The W Hotel, and speaking to students about being a black creator in the wellness space at Howard University. As of February 2022, Robin will launch the world’s first “phygital” athleisure collection in collaboration with UK design studio PhygitalTwin. The collection contains physical and digital outfits, following in the footsteps of brands like Nike and Lululemon who have disrupted the metaverse.
Robin is also a philanthropic community leader. She has created multiple service initiatives in the underserved community in Los Angeles, where she sponsors events at the Alexandria House, a transitional home for women and children. This home allows women and children to have a safe and peaceful process, from moving from emergency shelters to one of economic stability and permanent housing.
Robin is a leader in health and wellness and sets the bar for other creators in her field to strive for education, equality, philanthropy, and holistic living.
