Produced by Jake Resnicow, the event was held in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall and hosted over 13,500 guests, setting a new world record for the biggest Pride charity event in history. Elevating the night even further and bringing forth a glimpse of the iconic PRIDE scene, the night was  graced with the electrifying performance of Beyonce’s choreographer Chris Grant, who revived his Coachella performance showcased in the acclaimed Netflix documentary, “Homecoming“. Additionally, the event featured memorable messages from the likes of Cher, Dolly Parton, Camila Cabello, Elton John, RuPaul, Naomi Campbell, Sean Hayes, Tom Hanks, Lisa Vanderpump and Bruce Vilanch.

“I aimed to deliver an event that would make New York proud,” explains producer Jake Resnicow, recently named “Most Influential Person of the Year” by Out Magazine.  “I also felt it part of my responsibility to give back to our communities by raising money for the equality movement.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit charities such as LifeBeat, an organization that promotes sexual health and safety (received $110,000),  as well as GLADD, an organization dedicated to ensuring fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of LGBTQ individuals and events in all media (received $375,000 from Absolut the presenting partner for PRIDE FESTIVAL). All remaining funds were donated to Trevor Project and the Stonewall Gives Back Initiative, the official charity of the Stonewall Inn.
