Jennifer Lopez, Lopez Family Foundation and Global Advocate for Girls & Women at the UN Foundation

On Friday, September 25th,  the United Nation held a red carpet event where Jennifer Lopez was named the UN Foundation’s first ever Global Advocate for Girls and Women. Notable attendees were Jennifer Lopez, Katie Couric, Yahoo Global News Anchor, Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, Heather Higginbottom, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Kathy Calvin, President and CEO, UN Foundation, Hans Vestberg, President and CEO, Ericsson Group, Melanne Verveer, Executive Director, Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security; Former U.S. Ambassador for Global Women’s Issues; Co-Founder, Seneca Women and Queen Rania of Jordan ,Pat Mitchell, former head of PBS and now CEO of the Paley Center.
