When a powerhouse of musicians gather in one spot, for one weekend, in Southern California, it’s destined to be one for the books. And that’s exactly what KAABOO Del Mar was. As you know, we were amped for all the music, plus the unique Indulgences that the festival is known for. Last weekend, BELLA was on scene at the 4th annual festival, where we saw acts ranging from Foo Fighters to Katy Perry.

One of our favorites aspects of KAABOO was that they had a free app that allowed you to easily schedule your itinerary so you could hop from performance to performance and not miss any of your favorite artists. Some of our favorites included Earth, Wind and Fire, Bebe Rexha, Wiz Khalifa, Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, Blondie and Imagine Dragons. Between taking in our favorite musicians, we loved checking out all of the artists set up inside showcasing their artwork. Attendees were able to purchase pieces right on site and the beautiful displays made for the perfect Instagram backdrop.
The laid back vibe of this California festival was a breath of fresh air in the musical festival scene — concert goers dressed comfortably and weren’t there to make it on a best-dressed list (with the exception of a handful), while astro turf shady areas and sandy nooks made for ideal spots to sit down and relax. BASK, presented in partnership with MGM’s Wet Republic, was set up as a ‘Vegas-style’ pool club where guests could lounge in the sand, play games, or go for a dip in the pool!
And then there’s all of the food and drinks. Stands all around the concert grounds sold everything from pizza to poke and ranged from small booths to big activations. Blue Moon’s orange-filled oasis was a perfect place to grab some shade, charge your phone, and enjoy a cold brew. The Baked Bear was serving up customized ice cream sandwiches, and Rita’s Italian Ice helped guests cool off during the day. (You can read more about our favorite drinks here.)
Aside from all of that, you could stop by Dyson for a blow-dry, get henna tattoos, face glitter artwork, cool off with kombucha, or shop at one of the merchandise stores on site. It was a weekend filled to the brim with food, fun, sun, dancing, art and music and we couldn’t have asked for a better time (although we could have used a few healthier food options). Between the non-stop action and the beautiful weather, we left the weekend feeling satisfied and just a bit tired. At the end of KAABOO, we were feeling a little KAAput. But we can’t wait to see what next year’s line up has in store!
