Last week, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Inc., launched a fun new series of events that will take place throughout the summer at their locations around the world, Summer Soirées will celebrate the brand’s French culture. “Summer Soirées are a light-hearted yet chic way for guests and locals to connect to the French heritage of Le Méridien,” said Global Brand Leader Brian Povinelli. “Inspired by the classic 1970s French Riveria style, when the first Le Méridien hotel debuted in the City of Light, this series of events is poised to unlock the magic of the Côte d’Azur at our hotels around the world.”

Travelers will now have the opportunity to enjoy French-styled spaces complete with refreshing apéritifs, exclusive summer playlists from French bossa nova collective Nouvelle Vague and Pétanque. This game, similar to bocce ball, is played with metallic balls and gives guests something competitive to enjoy with their family and friends.
On Bastille Day, BELLA joined in on the fun at New York’s Le Parker Méridien to partake in all the festivities — passed hors d’oeuvres, winning pétanque, delicious cocktails, photobooth fun and stunning views were among the highlights of the evening.
