With more than 1.9 billion on-demand streams and three billion spins on Pandora, country music sensation Lee Brice announces the release of his latest single, “One of Them Girls.” Brice was inspired on Father’s Day 2019 during a moment of self-reflection that turned into calling for an impromptu writing session at 2am that morning with friends Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson and Ben Johnson.
“…it’s very much about that girl that all of us- deep down, at the end of the day, at the end of our lives- really hope to have loving us,” said Brice. “I just love that the title could easily come across with a negative connotation at first.”
The anthem, co-produced by Ben Glover and Kyle Jacobs, celebrates strong, independent, women who aren’t looking for unnecessary attention and the appreciation men have for them. The music video, directed by Ryan Smith, depicts just that, while simultaneously, honoring everyday heroes with a female protagonist who doubles as a firefighter and single mother.
“One of Them Girls” is released on the heels of Brice’s success with the Double Platinum, “Rumor,” which is now nominated for “Single of the Year” by the 2020 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. Brice also recently released the duet “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Carly Pearce who we caught up with during her New York City press tour last month.
The exceedingly talented Brice is a Grammy nominee, CMA nominee, double ACM award winner, and has taken six radio singles to Number One; “A Woman Like You,” “Hard To Love,” “I Drive Your Truck,” “I Don’t Dance,” “Drinking Class,” and “Rumor.”
