Food and Beverage Director for Dream Downtown, Jon Daly, has been with PHD for 10 years, running one of the city’s leading nightclubs, PHD Rooftop Lounge, and has easily become one of the most sought out men in the industry.
BELLA chatted with him to see what he had to say about this iconic New York City staple…
“In 2011, Tao Group’s first New York Hotel partnership was underway to create Downtowns first ONE STOP SHOP, a Nightlife themed boutique hotel, fully programed from 6am to 6am – a collection of food and beverage outlets, two nightclubs, two restaurants, an outdoor pool, and other amenities, employing over 150 Tao Group team members in this 315 room hotel, and presidential suite with glass bottom hot tub.
After a decade of service, we are a staple in the nightlife industry. PHD continues to be a desired hotspot, even with the saturation and competition of so many nightclubs throughout lower Manhattan. I attribute that to the service we provide, and the ambience that PH-D offers; the city sweeping views, chic crowd, great music, and thoughtful programming.
The history we have built has propelled us through a difficult 16 months, challenging everything we have created, but we made it through operating safely during a pandemic and coming out on top, and New Yorkers have never been more excited to be back!
We have been through many changes, but PHD is constantly elevating and remaining more than relevant.

PHD Rooftop Lounge is the ultimate penthouse, featuring timeless, luxurious finishes, including Italian Portoro marble, Macassar ebony, nickel finish walls, and amber Venini glass chandeliers. Their exquisite, panoramic, Manhattan skyline view includes direct lines of sight to the Hudson River and Empire State Building.
