NY 9: Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin – Artist, Designer, and Entrepreneur

Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin is a seventh generation descendent of shipping and railroad tycoon, Cornelius Vanderbilt. Hailing from one of the most famous families in America, this epitome of New York society has found her passion outside of the debutante world as a successful businesswoman in her own right.

Well-known in the fashion industry, Vanderbilt Costin teamed up with powerhouse network HSN to launch Homage by Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin in 2015. The pearl jewelry collection was inspired by an engagement ring she inherited from her great grandmother, Consuelo Vanderbilt Earl, which is thought to have once belonged to Consuelo, the Duchess of Marlborough.

Currently, Vanderbilt Costin is preparing to launch SohoMuse.com, an invitation-only website that will function as a professional network for the creative industry. Its goal is to become the trusted source for the global creative community.

Vanderbilt Costin sat down with BELLA and revealed an inside look at her New York favorites…
