Organic Skin Care Products You Need to Try

What we put on our skin matters and many non-organic beauty products contain harmful chemicals like parabens, which is linked to cancer and go straight into your body!

Don’t miss a beat! Click HERE to become a BELLA Insider!

Certified organic skincare products will not only cleanse your skin, but they will also exfoliate and moisturize without using artificial harsh chemicals.

There’s an influx of organic products on the market and with so many to chose from it can be overwhelming. However, we’ve tried out a few out and here are the ones we love!

BOOM by Cindy Joseph

Can we talk about why we love Cindy Joseph -the founder of the line- so much? Not only did Joseph develop a pro-age skin care brand for women of all generations, she defies age barriers. At 50 she began modeling, was signed to the prestigious Ford Modeling agency and at 63-years-old, she’s still booking high-profile gigs. #Boom

Products we #love:

Boom Cosmetics Product Line

BOOMSTICK GLO ($27)  is an organic moisturizer in a stick. It’s made by beekeepers in Hawaii and we love it because it’s convenient and you can throw it in your purse to use anywhere like your face, lips, elbows, cuticles, etc.

BOOMCOTTON (2oz $32 4oz $54) Also an organic moisturizer, the BOOM COTTON can be used for shine control. The nonoily product will leave your skin glowing and fresh.

BOOMSILK (8oz $58 4oz $36 2oz $21) This moisturizer is for your face and entire body, which is why we had to stock up on it. Since it’s for everything, it cuts down on products to pack when traveling. After a few uses, your skin is dewy and vibrant.

BOOM MASK (2 oz $42 4oz $56) This is a deep cleansing and exfoliating mask in one, which leaves your skin ultra clean and smooth. Hawaiian wildflower honey, organic diatomaceous earth, French pink clay, Hawaiian blue green algae, essential oils, royal jelly, and propolis and some of the natural ingredients used.

African Black Soap Nubian Heritage Collection
In 1991 Nubian Heritage was founded and the owners took to the streets of Harlem to sell their products. The grassroots efforts paid off!
Nubian Hertiage can now be found in Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, Sprouts and independent health food stores nationwide. All products in the collection are natural and organic so you really can’t go wrong.
What we love:
  1. Patchouli & Buriti Body Soufflé, $11.99
  2. Patchouli & Buriti Bar Soap, $4.99
  3. Patchouli & Buriti Deodorant, $7.99

Sweet, spicy, aphrodisiacal Patchouli essential oil is known for its beneficial effect on oily or maturing skin and hair. Relaxing, uplifting and soothing, Patchouli complements the Amazonian beauty secret, Buriti oil. The Buriti palm, known as “the tree of life”, provides food as well as a traditional treatment for skin ailments. Buriti oil’s high Beta-carotene, Vitamin E and Vitamin C content works with essential fatty acids to support collagen production and anti-oxidants while hydrating and comforting the skin.
