Pamella Roland debuted her Resort 2018 Collection against the backdrop of Bvlgari on 5th Ave. in NYC.
Bvlgari is known for their jewels, necklaces and timepieces and overall craftsmanship and workmanship, as are Ms. Rolland’s creations. This was not the typical runway show. If you have been to a fashion show you know the collection can be exhibited on a runway where the models walk the catwalk, or they can stand solitary to have the crowd walk by and view the collection. This event had a mixture of both. The models walked and posed in Ms. Roland’s eponymous, sumptuous creations.

What is the resort collection inspiration and why Bulgari?
For our Resort 18 collection I was inspired by my garden. I saw all the flowers, and I thought, “I need to do a resort collection on this.” It certainly had all the colors, and our customer wants color. As for Bulgari what goes better with Gowns then diamonds!
What were you going for in the fabrics and colors and silhouettes you selected?
The fabrics exude both a luxurious and durable quality without sacrificing the elegance. Even gowns with embellishments can feel comforting and non-constricting for the garment wearer.
Who is the Pamela Roland customer?
The Pamella Roland customer wants color and comfort. They are also someone who’s very busy. I can never find gowns, so sometimes in the past, when I would look for gowns they were difficult to put on. These are very simple. They make women look great. We have a great fit.
How would you describe the Pamela Roland aesthetic?
Fit is something that is very important to me and we always make sure to design styles that fit a range of body types.
