PARAISO Miami Beach Swim Week Recap

This year, PARAISO Miami Beach kicked off their first-ever virtual swim week on August 20th. With the pandemic hitting the fashion industry at all angles, the creativity, spirit, and fun energy of this year’s COVID-friendly Miami Beach Swim Week was exactly what we all needed to keep our spirits alive.

PARAISO Miami Beach put together a number of in-person fashion shows that were produced and live streamed following the CDC guidelines on social distancing, as well as virtual shows for the masses. PARAISO wanted to ensure everyone had the chance to view the beautiful new swimwear lines and coveted beauty and fashion trends, that these designers have worked so hard to produce and that Swim Week always promises to deliver!

The PARAISO UpCycle Challenge:

This challenge is created to raise awareness on fashion sustainability by UpCycling dead stock fabrics from international swimwear designers, this year – the message is louder and clearer. The PARAISO Upcycle Challenge aims to teach design students that the purpose of their garments can go beyond the aesthetic and involve the wellbeing of the people and the planet.

 

Stitch Lab Marketplace

Paraiso Miami Beach hosted a live shopping hour with Stitch Lab Marketplace from at The SLS Hyde Pool that was digitally streamed. Viewers learned styling tips and got to know and shop Maygel Coronel, and other talented Latin American Designers.

Agua Bendita’s Tressors/Resort 2021 Collection

Agua Bendita hosted an in-person show and a livestream viewing of the Tressors/Resort 2021 collection at the SLS South Beach.

Luli Fama “Diosa” Collection 2021

Following the awards, Luli Fama revealed her 2021 Collection “Diosa”. This collection was inspired by empowered, bold and sophisticated Luli Babes. The “Diosa” collection includes an assortment of daring and show stopping looks such as the brand’s signature styles and ultra modern designs to accentuate a women’s figure, while lending a chic statement to any summer wardrobe.

Maaji Presents Sacred Fauna Spring 2021 Collection:

To celebrate the world’s jungle wonders, Maaji’s Sacred Fauna collection goes back in time, entered a Sacred Fauna full of diversity, colors, and mystical animals. The designs are inspired by nature, the jungle, and it’s unique animals, a tribe that takes care of the sacred fauna. The show featured body inclusive models of all shapes, sizes, genders and races.

Lavie by CK SWIM by The Diigitals

The Voyage Collection is a nod to Designer Claude Kameni’s familial roots in Cameroon. Inspired by her Father’s successful travel company, he admired how he could provide customer means to see the world and fulfill their dreams.

Claude was motivated this season to produce her first swimwear line that reflected the current global desire to travel again. All the inspiration you’ll need for deciding when and where to plan your next trip will be ignited after reviewing this collection.

Beach Bunny Swim Resort ’21

Beach Bunny Swimwear launched in 2004 and is known for its ultra-feminine unique bikini styles and resort wear.
