Female founded brands using incentive to give back to communities of all kinds is a beautiful attribute that deserves to be celebrated during Women’s History Month! Brands such as Dearfoams, Diplomacy, Londre Bodywear, Lezat and Trina Turk all work in the spirit of philanthropy and demonstrate immense amounts of kindness.

Jocelyn Thornton is the President of slipper company, Dearfoams. Their mission of providing all day and cozy comfort for heroes on the go began in 1945, and this year they will be honoring their 75th anniversary! In celebration of this achievement, the brand is paying thanks to their customers and will be giving 7,500 pairs of slippers to individuals and organizations that are working to make a difference in the world!

Sari-Baez is the co-founder at the Black-owned streetwear brand, Diplomacy. Their Free the Future collection collaborated with NBA player Wes Iwundu contributes a sum of their proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club! Along with this philanthropy, all of the profits from their Peaceful Protest line are donated to The Bail Project Inc. This foundation aids individuals by providing free bail and helping people return home while awaiting court dates. Diplomacy has worked for philanthropic causes over its years in business and will continue to do so!

Londre Bodywear, founded by Hannah Todd and Ainsley Rose, is based on empathy and stems from their own experiences. This sustainable fashion brand produces swimwear from recycled plastics and loungewear from garnered wood pulp. The label focuses on educating and encouraging women on social change and environmental issues. Londre Bodywear works to give back by taking actions like replanting a coral reef in the Carribiean, donating to organizations Amazon Watch and Yellow Hammer Fun, and supported the extraction of over 3,500 lbs of waste from the Pacific coast.

Lezat is a sustainable female owned brand founded by Jaleh Factor. This company prides themselves on creating luxurious and effortless feminine pieces that fit into any woman’s wardrobe. All of their fabric scraps are reused and made into dog beds for homeless dog owners, animal shelters and dog rescues in Los Angeles. In addition, with every mask purchase from their label, one mask is donated to food banks, shelters, schools, and our frontlines! 

Trina Turk is the founder of her self named brand that runs on her principals of landscape, craftsmanship, creativity and architecture that when combined creates a beautiful aesthetic. She began her journey in 1995 with a women’s contemporary line and evolved into a vibrant and chic lifestyle brand full of swimwear, accessories, residential goods, eyewear and much more! Tina Turk is an active philanthropist who greatly contributes to the arts, architectural preservation and education as well as giving back in her local communities!
