One of my favorite parts of my BELLA internship is going around the city and taking pictures of street style. The photos I take are posted on BELLA’s Instagram and could be used in the next issue! I’ve definitely learned my way around the city over the past month and a half. This past week I explored the new Brookfield Place in lower Manhattan. It. Is. Stun-ning.

I’m glad that i got some good shots of street style before I reached the mall because the only pictures I took were pictures of the place itself! If you haven’t been there already, I suggest that you do. The architecture is breathtaking, the palm trees are a nice surprise, and there are these giant steps made of granite. Also, there’s a crepe shop that I’m dying to go to.
But more importantly, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for trendy people the next time I visit. Brookfield Place is right near the 9/11 memorial, a place flocking with tourists. Tourists are great people to photograph because they’re not in a rush to get places like your typical New Yorker, and are flattered when asked if they’d like to be in a NYC magazine.
On another note, this explore-her is going to BlogHer this Saturday! It’s the biggest blogging event of the year and includes events hosted by Josh Peck, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more. I can’t wait to experience all that this conference has in store for us female social media users!
