Ron Barcelo, a global leader in rum manufacturing, and the National Dominican Beer Company (NDBC) proudly announced their partnership in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 among the Dominican Republic population.

In alliance with the Ministry of Public Health, Ron Barcelo – the world’s most imported dark rum – donated part of its alcohol production to convert into 75% ethyl alcohol to be used as a sanitizer. The NDBC then distributes the product throughout the Dominican Republic at no cost to assist in slowing down the virus spread.
“It is our social responsibility to create a product that is essential in counteracting the spread of the COVID-19 within our country”, said executives from Ron Barcelo. NDBC commented, “our hopes are that the vital product donation will make a significant impact in the fight against the spread of this virus.”
In coordination with the National Government, businesses across the country are offering their support by delivering the sanitizers to the most vulnerable populations the country, and by providing millions of Dominican citizens with the vital product.
