Sophisticated Spaces: City Chic

Looking for some fashionable home décor inspiration? Let interior designer Jarret Yoshida’s latest project be your guide.  Yoshida’s designs evoke feelings of accessible indulgence, luxury, and well-being for real, everyday living. His vision combines sophisticated elegance and relaxed ease, a classic approach that is personalized for each client.

Yoshida created a modern-chic style for the 1300-square-foot West Village space with fashion influence as he currently works in the fashion industry at Conde Nast.

From the key-in elevator, Yoshida placed a custom-made console in the entryway. The art above was created by Ron van Dongen and the frames are from Boerum Frames. The flowers were placed together by Dan Moynihan.

The bed is layered with DKNY bedding and the throw is by Larsen. The navy/white patterned carpet is West Elm, the floor lamp is Organic Modernism hovered by a vintage chandelier. The wall paper across from the bed is Elitis.

The stools were designed by David Geckeler.

A CLOSER LOOK: Luxe Living Room

Yoshida describes what’s inside…
“The couch in the living room is a custom piece. The pillows are Aviva Stanorff and also custom made using Cowtan and Tout fabric. The chaise is a custom piece and while the sofa fabric is Manuel Canovas. The artwork above the couch is by Romeo Alaeff and is framed by Boerum Frames. The sculpture on the side of the couch is Arteriors. The media console is a custom piece as well.”
