Support Our Troops While Drinking Wine This Summer

Earlier this week, BELLA attended a special celebration of wine, partnership and gratitude at Loft & Garden in New York City. The special event honored Josh Cellar‘s first military salute Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, in partnership with Operation Gratitude and Chef Andre Rush.

Famous wine brand Josh Cellars was founded by esteemed wine maker Joseph Carr, who launched the brand in honor of his dad, who served in the military. With that in mind, Carr sought to carry the gratitude for his father’s and other’s service on with a new expression to honor the military. Every bottle of the Military Salute Edition Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi Reserve ($19.99) will donate $1 towards Operation Gratitude, a non-profit that sends care packages to our military and veterans, helping them to feel more appreciated, respected and valued.

At the unveiling event earlier this week, we heard from Joseph Carr, Operation Gratitude CEO Kevin Schmiegel and Chef Andre Rush, who delivered a moving speech, informing the audience of his commitment to raise awareness for PTSD by doing 2,222 push-ups every day. As a vet himself, Rush underscored the reason for his intense push-up regimen, stating that 22 veterans commit suicide every day. During the event, Rush created signature recipes that paired well with the robust wine.

The Lodi Reserve Cabernet is available nationally through September 5th. It’s the perfect bottle to pick up this summer, just in time for Memorial Day.
