Talbots “The Art of the Scarf Collection” was created by five internationally renowned female artists who each designed an inspirational silk scarf that tells a story. Full of metaphors and meaning, the scarves evoke emotion with colorful symbols of hope and resilience, strength and courage.
Lulu DK (Los Angeles, California) – “My mother and mother nature have always been my two biggest sources of inspiration – both humble and selfless, both unapologetically electric with color. This scarf is a tribute to my mother, and to the power of the natural world surrounding all of us.”
Annie Davidson (Melbourne, Australia) – “In designing this scarf, I was inspired by the map, as it connects women. I wanted to represent women from all walks of life, as breast cancer can affect anyone.”
Caroline So (New York, New York) – “In creating this scarf, I was deeply inspired by a certain female sensibility – lighthearted and playful, yet courageous, strong and confident.”
Gladys Perint Palmer (San Francisco, California) – “I have always been inspired by the beautiful, diverse, ever-changing faces of women – their profiles, their expressions, their softness, and their strength. Beauty comes in so many forms, and this scarf is about all of them.”
Hannah Davies (South Wales, UK) – “I was inspired by the strength of women who struggle with breast cancer, and the constant show of support from friends and family near and far. The lioness is a symbol of courage, reminding us that together we can beat this disease.”
Talbots “The Art of the Scarf Collection” consists of five silk scarves in unique, colorful, one-of-a-kind designs. 41” square, retail for $69.50, 20% of the net proceeds benefiting NBCF. The collections will be on sale 9/24 – 10/31 and available at www.Talbots.com and Talbots stores nationwide
The collection was designed with each artist using the silk scarf as a canvas for them to honor the strength of women who have battled breast cancer.
My Hannah Davies scarf from Talbots the art of the scarf collection 2018 was stolen from my suitcase recently while I was traveling in Dublin. Is there any way to get another since Talbots no longer has them available. I purchased it to honor my breast cancer survival. This is ree_23829@yahoo.com
