Leading On-site for the Hawaii Islands Now Offering Journeys of Renewal and Transformation
Debbie Misajon, founder of Hawaii’s leading luxury travel operator The Coconut Traveler, is pleased to announce the launch of the company’snew Women’s Wellness Retreats. The first Journey of Renewal and Transformation will take place on the Island of Oahu for six nights and seven days, June 19-25, 2021. Accommodating up to ten guests, this exclusive retreat will combine Hawaiian cultural practices, wellness and mindfulness with adventure and philanthropic activities. As The Coconut Traveler strives to reduce the footprint in travel, this retreat will be carbon neutral.
“Given the current state of the world, people are feeling the need to heal and reconnect – with nature, with others and with themselves,” said Debbie Misajon. “We designed these new women’s wellness retreats to help guests restore their physical, mental and emotional health, offering them the space to refresh and realign.”
This retreat will be held at a private lodge on a beautiful 2700-acre, historic ranch on the North Shore of Hawaii. Sleeping accommodations include six private rooms each with a Queen bed and two shared rooms each with two twin beds. With no television or Wifi connection, this retreat is ideal for people to disconnect and decompress.
Each morning will include the opportunity to renew with a guided meditation, led and followed by time learning with a specialist in mindfulness training at the University of Hawaii. Global yoga and fitness instructor, author, and speaker, Desi Bartlett will then guide guests through daily yoga practices to feel strong, safe and supported. With over 25 years of experience in the health & wellnessindustry and a long list of A list celebrity clients, Desi is passionate about sharing the joy of movement. All meals will include fresh, local ingredients thoughtfully prepared and designed to support a plant-based diet for optimum health.
This special retreat includes scheduled activities such as Forest Bathing or Shirin-Yoku, a form of nature therapy; guided yoga at a private lake; a guided paddle on standup or kayak to an island for swimming and hiking; guided hiking on ranch trails and off the property to a waterfall; and a scheduled massage session with traditional practitioners.
During leisure time, guests may choose to explore the host island, take a short jog, or bicycle ride to take in the local scenery. Add-ons include adventure opportunities such as skydiving, a circle island helicopter tour, or swimming with sharks alongside a world renowned conservationist.
Several evenings, special guests will fully immerse guests in Hawaiian culture to include Hawaii’s revered kumu (teachers) in the areas of history and legends, hula (dance) and mele (song), ho’oponopono, the traditional practice of forgiveness, and lā’au lapa’au, the traditional medical practice adopted by native Hawaiians for treating, healing, or curing ailments and injuries with native plants and herbs.
A festive dinner will be specially prepared by Chef Mavro, Hawaii’s most recent winner of the James Beard Award for Best Chef Pacific Northwest/Hawaii. The final night dinner will include a relaxed, traditional barbecue on the beach under the stars.
This unique women’s retreat will follow all State and Federal health guidelines. All-inclusive accommodations, meals, activities, experiences, massages, guides, guest speakers and carbon off-setting for up to 10 women from $11,295 per person. Airline travel is not included. In order to carbon offset the retreat, The Coconut Traveler has taken the US national average of 20 metric tons per person per year for 7-days for all attendees and suppliers, plus roundtrip air.
The Coconut Traveler is also able to arrange private wellness retreats for guests over their preferred dates. Travelers can contact the company directly to coordinate: firstname.lastname@example.org
