The quirky and lovable talk show host offers BELLA a day-in-the-life guide through the greatest city in the world.

1.Best thing about living in NYC?

You can get a Milky Way delivered to your apartment at midnight.

2. Favorite NYC restaurant?

The Smith on Broadway – outdoor seating, great food, nice people!

3. Favorite neighborhood?

The Upper West Side. It feels very “neighborhoody” – strollers and coffee shops – and Central Park is steps away.

4. The best part of my job is …

The wine.

5. A visit to New York isn’t complete until …

You go to a Broadway show. I have seen “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” eight times! #EnoughSaid

6. Subways or cabs?

Subway for Yankees or Mets games, cabs for all else (unless the president is in town, or the UN, or a parade, or a street fair…).

7. Best advice you’ve ever received?

If you want New York to feel like home, get to know your ‘hood – the guy who sells you newspapers, the person who makes you coffee at Starbucks, the man at the bodega. Those few blocks by your apartment become your neighborhood. Suddenly, New York isn’t so big and scary anymore.

8. Must-have beauty item?

Umbrella (I have weather-sensitive hair).

9. How do you define beauty?

Confidence and a good blowout – not necessarily in that order.

About my new book

Some people know their purpose early in life; others struggle to find the right path. My book “Where We Belong” explores the courageous, surprising, and inspiring ways people discover their life’s true purpose. You will meet a handful of everyday Americans and a few celebs who have found their sense of belonging … and with that, true happiness.
