People who travel to New York often will avoid the Time Square area like a plague. It’s loud and slightly chaotic. How could you ever get a goodnight sleep with all the hustle and bustle? Fear not, The Time New York is an urban oasis in the heart of the Theater District positioned between Broadway and Eighth Avenue.

The first floor houses a quaint grab and go coffee service which, I have to admit – is brilliant. The hotel restaurant, the famed Italian Serafina is around the corner. I indulged in a scrumptious Farfalle Al Limoncello after a long day of meetings (thank goodness for late night kitchens). A room service meal of Ravioli Alla Salvia was the perfect way to start a night out in New York.
Starting from the second floor reception, hotel guests can decompress after a long day and enjoy
a drink at LeGrande Lounge. Tucked in the corner of LeGrande, is The Boardroom that can function as a private dining area. Its 500 square-feet boardroom space can accommodate up to 16 guests seated and 24 guests for a reception.
Also on the second floor, is an art installation by Humans since 1982 titled “A Million Times 72” and is comprised of Stockholm based duo Per Emanuelsson & Bastien Bischoff. Variations of this piece have been displayed in exhibits all over the world – Austria, Switzerland, India, UK, Belgium, Japan, France, and Netherlands.
There are 167 guest rooms and 25 suites at The Time. I had the pleasure of staying in a Timeless suite which had a separate living room, a king sized bed fitted with Frette linen (my favorite) and Maison Martin Margiela bath amenities. The amenities are based on the Margiela Replica perfume – Jazz Club, which is Brooklyn inspired. I love how the USB ports can be found everywhere – from the secure Safe to the ports located in bedside tables and above the desk.
If you are looking for larger accommodations, The Time has a beautiful Penthouse/Triplex Suite that spans 2,000 square feet across three floors with a 500 square-feet exterior patio.
