What was once a wire loom factory is now home to Williamsburg, Brooklyn’s newest restaurant, Ainslie Italian Wine Bar & Beer Garden. Rich in history, the eatery, located at 76 Ainslie Street, is the last remaining remnant of the factory complex that once occupied the entire block.

Now preserved and modernized, the 10,000 square foot, multi-level Italian-style restaurant features a 90-seat front wine bar and open kitchen, a 70-seat back bar connected to an outdoor beer garden, a 60-seat intimate living room on the mezzanine, and a 1,000 square foot rooftop deck and bar which will open come warmer weather.
Executive Chef John DeLucie and notable Italian pizza chef “Mino” Erasmo Lassandro teamed up with restaurateurs AJ Bontempo and Sergio and Mario Riva to bring this unique style eatery to the bustling community.
The interior exudes a rustic vibe, while a bit of history still remains. The beautiful furniture and bars throughout are all made with wood from the original factory and floor to ceiling windows allow for the flow of natural light, leaving you with the feeling of truly being in an outdoor garden.
The menu is just as extensive as the interior and includes a family style option for both dinner and weekend brunch. The dinner menu includes something for everyone with entrees such as the grilled branzino, NY strip steak, and a chicken Milanese for two. Pasta dishes, salads, sides, and of course pizza straight from the wood fire oven are also excellent choices. The pork ragu sliders and the Arancini (fried risotto balls) from the small bites section make for perfect starters and are just the right amount when sharing dishes.
Come the weekend, Ainslie’s brunch menu kicks in, making afternoon cocktails and eats a fun way to spend your Saturday and/or Sunday. With a menu dedicated strictly to our favorite pastime, the $28 bottomless beverage pre-fix, which is offered between 12- 4pm, includes two hours of unlimited Mimosas, Bloody Mary, or their signature spiked ice tea, About Last Night.
If you’re in the mood for something sweet and savory, the pancakes and gelato or French toast with fresh strawberries and cinnamon whipped cream will satisfy any sweet tooth. For diners who want to combine breakfast and lunch, the Bongiorno pizza, made with pancetta, red onion, mozzarella, and topped with sunny side eggs is the perfect combination.
To top off the meal, the dessert menu includes an array of choices. From the rich and delicious dark chocolate cake to the banana bread pudding, both served with a side of homemade whipped cream, you can’t go wrong in whatever you choose. And if you’re up for sharing, the Nutella and ricotta calzone with walnuts is another excellent choice.
For residents of the neighborhood, the restaurant offers both pickup and delivery service. So whether you’re looking to eat out, or prefer to dine in, Ainslie has got you covered.
